This Privacy Policy applies to cvtrustco.com, including subdomains, (the “Website”) and details CV TrustCo Inc. (“CV Trust”) information collection, use and disclosure practices.

The Privacy Policy addresses two kinds of information: (1) Personal Information; and (2) Anonymous Information. Personal Information identifies you and includes information such as your first and last name, address and email address. Anonymous Information does not identify you and can be combined with Anonymous Information about others.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect Personal Information that you choose to provide through the Website, such as completing online forms to receive any CV TrustCo online publications or when you contact CV TrustCo through the Website and provide Personal Information as part of your communication.

We collect Anonymous Information in the form of service statistics derived from your use of the Website, such as: pages you viewed, how long you were on a particular page, how many times you have been to a page and whether you clicked on a link; country you are accessing the Website from; type of web browser and operating system used to access the Website along with mobile device information and IP address; and how you located the Website, such as search engine queries and third party links you clicked. Service statistics may be derived from cookies. A cookie is a small file we place on your computer and acts as a unique identifier. A cookie does not allow us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.

The Website does not respond to web browser do not track signals or similar mechanisms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your Personal Information to respond to communications CV TrustCo receives from you, to provide services requested by you and deliver our publications.

We use your Anonymous Information internally for statistical analysis purposes to better understand our customers and to improve our offerings.

4. Third Party Websites

The Website may include links to third party websites that may disclose your Personal or Anonymous Information to third parties. Additionally, third party websites may collect Personal Information about your online activities over time and across different websites. The Privacy Policy only applies to information that CV TrustCo collects, uses or discloses and does not apply to the collection, use or disclosure of your information by third parties. Use of third party websites may require you to accept a third party’s terms of service/use or privacy policy. It is your sole responsibility to determine whether any third party privacy policy or other agreement is acceptable to you.

5. Accessing or Changing Your Information

You may contact CV TrustCo to obtain a copy of any personal information we have collected about you, the production of which may be subject to a fee as permitted by applicable law. In addition, you may contact CV TrustCo to correct or delete such information, except to the extent that retention is necessary for our legitimate business purposes, required by applicable law, in the control of a third party or where correction or deletion is not technically feasible.

If you would like to change the email preferences we associate with you (for example, unsubscribing from receiving certain types of email) you may do so by clicking a link within emails that we send to you.

6. Information Storage and Retention

While CV TrustCo is a Canadian company, information you provide to us is stored and processed by third parties in countries around the world. You authorize CV TrustCo and third parties acting on our behalf to use and process your data in any country of their choosing, which may cause your data, including Personal and Anonymous Information, to be subject to privacy protections and legal rights that may not be equivalent to those in your country.

Your personal information is retained until you request its deletion pursuant to section 5 or until CV TrustCo no longer requires such information for the purpose for which it was collected.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

8. Updates

CV TrustCo reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change or modify or to add or remove portions of the Privacy Policy at any time (“Updates”). We agree to notify you of Updates by a notification posted on cvtrustco.com. You will be deemed to have accepted any Update by continuing to access the Website. Unless CV TrustCo states otherwise, Updates are automatically effective thirty days after being posted on cvtrustco.com
